Dr. Jin Lee is a pianist, educator, and music entrepreneur.
Her academic foundation is built on her studies with world-renowned pedagogues. She earned her master’s degree and professional studies in piano performance under Nelita True at the Eastman School of Music and studied with Marian Hahn at the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University. She completed her doctoral degree at Pennsylvania State University under Timothy Shafer’s guidance.
As a dedicated educator, Dr. Lee has taught thousands of students at all levels, from young beginners to advanced performers. She has held faculty positions at prestigious institutions such as Norwalk College, State Univeristy of New York at Purchase, University of Michigan, and Mannes College at The New School. Currently, she teaches Piano Pedagogy at Ewha Womans University in Korea.
Dr. Lee’s passion for music extends beyond the classroom. She is a performer who performs constantly throughout North America and around the world. Her repertoire spans a wide range of styles, and as a recitalist and soloist, she has collaborated with orchestras and chamber music.
As a musicpreneur, Dr. Lee founded a thriving private piano studio, where she nurtures young talents. She is also the author of the beginner methodology book “Children’s Song Book: A Method for Beginners with Five-Finger Tunes” by Yesol a comprehensive guide for aspiring pianists who are new to piano.
Dr. Lee’s dedication to excellence has been recognized as an educator, and she has received a teaching certificate from the American Protege International Competition. She is a qualified teacher with ABRSM in the UK, an RCM certified teacher in Canada, and a Steinway & Sons Education Partner in the US.
