피터 키비(Peter Kivy)우리시대 음악 미학의 선도적 사상가. 미국 미학회 회장을 지낸 그는 럿거스 대학 철학과 교수로 재직 중이다. 《Introduction to a Philosophy of Music》(2002), 《The Performance of Reading: An Essay in the Philosophy of Literature》(2003) 등 여러 권의 책을 펴냈으며, 국내 출간 도서로는 《순수음악의 미학Music Alone: Philosophical Reflections on the Purely Musical Experience》(2000)이 있다.
